The East European Mountain Guides Association is proud and happy to enter a relationship with Grivel as the association’s hardware partner.
The oldest mountaineering gear manufacturer still operating today, Grivel has been producing world class equipment since 1818. For over two hundred years Grivel has been at the forefront of innovation starting with the first modern crampons (1909 at the request of English engineer Oscar Eckenstein) then, twenty years later, the first crampons with front-points and by the mid 30’s with the first forays in the lightweight crampons manufacturing. Now in the twenty-first century Grivel is still at the forefront of innovation of technical gear for climbing and alpinism (e.g. twin gate carabiners patented in 2014).
Grivel is a family of mountaineers and guides in which we are happy to be included from now on. The gear is tested and improved by countless athletes and guides around the world in the harshest conditions and with the highest standards in view. A company born at the foot of Mont Blanc that is still headquartered there has taken the craft and knowledge on most mountains of the world.
