During 27 February – 4 March 2019 the EEMGA had its second generation’s entry test. 17 people registered and 16 took part in the test. 14 male and 2 female representing: Bulgaria (5), Romania (5), Hungary (2), Czech Republic (1), Slovenia (1), Croatia (1), Ukraine (1).The exams took place in Slovenia around Kranjska Gora (ice and ski) and in Crni Kal (rock). The candidates were tested on:

– rock climbing on-sight grade 5c in mountaineering boots

– rock climbing on-sight grade 6b minimum in rock shoes

– ice climbing with ice axe and 10 point crampons, using classical techniques

– steep ice grade WI4 climbing with two ice axes

– ski down and skin up on varied terrain, regardless of snow conditions and with a 10Kg rucsack

– a general ability test in mountain terrain

The examination commission was composed of: Reiner Taglinger (Germany) the President of the Technical Commission of IFMGA, Peter Jeromel (Slovenia), Tadej Debevec  (Slovenia), Ales Cesen  (Slovenia), Cosmin Andron (Romania).

The following 10 individuals (in alphabetical order) passed the exams and are due to begin Aspirant Guide training in autumn 2019:
