The Eastern European Mountain Guides Association (EEMGA) has recently entered a partnership with global online booking platform Explore-Share.com with the purpose of promoting the work of the association and its members at a worldwide scale.
Explore-Share, the first online marketplace for guided adventures worldwide, devotes significant efforts to the promotion of up-and-coming skiing and mountaineering destinations in countries like Romania, Greece, Georgia and Bulgaria, among many others. The platform offers more than 6000 trips led by more than 1000 certified guides in every corner of the world.
A recent post on the Explore-Share blog described EEMGA efforts to organize an IFMGA training course in Eastern Europe. Several EEMGA members who are currently training to become fully-certified IFMGA guides are already using the platform to promote their programs, both in Eastern European countries and in other classic mountaineering destinations including the French and Swiss Alps.
Explore-Share has seen its users’ interest in off-the-beaten-path destinations like Gudauri in Georgia and Bansko in Bulgaria grow significantly in recent months and believes a lot more can be done in the future to help promote alpine destinations in Eastern Europe.
